Hostal Laurel is situated in the heart of San Antonio and in walking distance of the harbour with its promenade 'Paseo Marítimo' (400 meters or 438 yards) or the West End with all its shops and nightlife spots. This really is a central location on Ibiza island where you are in the very heart of things like the famous sunset at Cafe del Mar, Mambo, Savannah or Coastline.

Ibiza is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded on four sides by water! At 570 km² or 220 square miles it is the third largest of the Balearic Islands and forms together with Formentera the small Pitiusas archipelago. Furthermore Ibiza is the Balearic Isle lying closest to the Spanish mainland (90 km or 56 miles from Denia, 150 km or 93 miles from Valencia and 250 km or 155 miles from Barcelona) But please don't swim! There are two more comfortable alternatives to get there. Ibiza is extremely accessible by both air and sea, depending on your preferences and where you are departing from...

BY AIR:

Ibiza airport [IBZ] is the major gateway for most visitors. It is connected by daily domestic flights (30 to 55 minutes) from the Spanish mainland (Alicante [ALC], Barcelona [BCN], Madrid [MAD] and Valencia [VLC]) or the neighbouring island of Mallorca (Palma de Mallorca [PMI]) all year round. From spring till autumn the island is also served by international charter flights (2 to 3 hours) from most major European cities (France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland etc.). In winter there are several charter flights from Germany (Air Berlín, Condor, Hapag LLoyd and LTU).

    How to get from the AIRPORT to the hotel:
  • Taxi: In front of the airport terminal you will find a taxi rank. You will pay approximately EUR 20-22 for the transport to the hotel (22 kilometers).
  • Car hire: At the airport you will find desks of some big international and national companies (e.g. Avis, Hertz, Europcar and National Atesa). We think that it is worth to also check out the tariffs of local companies prior arrival. Most of them send their representatives to the airport for picking you up (after baggage claim) or also deliver the car at the reception of your hotel.

  • Bus: In front of the airport terminal you will find a bus stop (bus nº 10). Take this bus to the terminus in Ibiza town (Av. Isidor Macabich), change to bus nº 03 to San Antonio and get off the bus at the new terminus for a short walk to Hostal Laurel (350-400 metres).
    > NEW! Direct bus service (June 15th - September 15th): In front of the airport terminal you will find a bus stop (bus nº 9). Take this bus to San Antonio and get off the bus at the new terminus for a short walk to Hostal Laurel (350-400 metres). Timetable: departure airport - 8.00 am, 10.00 am, 12.00 noon, 5.00 pm, 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm.

    • BY SEA:

    The two harbours of the island are in Ibiza town (Eivissa) and in San Antonio (Sant Antoni Portmany). Some shipping companies offer regular ferry connections from the Spanish mainland (Barcelona, Valencia and Denia) or the neighbouring island of Mallorca (Palma de Mallorca) all year round.

    How to get from IBIZA HARBOUR to the hotel:
  • Taxi: In front of the harbour terminal you will find a taxi rank. You will pay approximately EUR 16 for the transport to the hotel (25 kilometers).
  • Car hire: Close to the harbour you will find offices of some big international and national companies. We think that it is worth to also check out the tariffs of local companies prior arrival. Most of them send their representatives to the harbour for picking you up or also deliver the car at the reception of your hotel.

  • Bus: You can also go by bus from Ibiza harbour to San Antonio, but first you have to walk about ten minutes or more! Keep right when you leave the ferry. After crossing the Avenida Santa Eulària des Riu, enter the Avenida Bartomeu Rosselló and follow this street which later changes its name to Avenida Isidor Macabich. The terminus of Ibiza town is situated in the Avenida Isidor Macabich on the right. Take bus nº 3 to San Antonio and get off the bus at the new terminus for a short walk to Hostal Laurel (350-400 metres).

    How to get from SAN ANTONIO HARBOUR to the hotel:
  • Walking: You can walk from San Antonio harbour to the hotel. In front of the harbour you will see two multistorey apartment houses (Faro I and II). Take the road between these buildings up the little hill and follow the road (Carrer de Madrid). Turn right at the corner of Carrer d'Antoni Riquer where you will get to the hotel (on the right).
